Jalapenos per square
I thought it was one jalapeno per square, but someone recently mentioned planting 4. Thoughts on doing this? I have limited space and want tons of jalapenos.

One per square. The mature plant spread can be upwards of 1.5 feet.

Peppers grow well in 5 gal buckets if you are short of bed space.

1 per square, and they'll keep producing until first frost. I planted 4, ate some, gave some to my neighbor and still had enough to freeze 4 gallons of them.

Re: Jalapenos per square
Thanks for the clarification, I reluctantly planted 3 jalapenos this morning in the 3 squares I had reserved for them and will hope that's enough. We eat them like crazy.
I might just grab a couple of 5-gallon buckets and plant some more - I already have 12 tomatoes in 12 buckets, what's a couple more?
