Hi. My husband and I live off grid in TN. We built our own off grid home and use solar power for all of our electric needs.

This year will be my fourth year doing the SFG and I can't wait to get started. I picked up some compost this morning and will plant lettuce and spinach this week:)

Hi Lisa! Are you planting seeds or seedlings? How are you going to protect your lettuce & spinach until the last frost? We've seen some pretty little plants at the Coop, but keep thinking I'll let them deal with frost issues and buy a bit later!

Hello:)Smile It's nice to see a familiar face, lol.
I will be panting spinach and lettuce seeds. They are OK to plant before the last frost date. They are colder weather veggies. Mine did great last year when I planted in March...and not so great when I tried for a Fall crop.

Looks like it's going to be a later planting season for the summer veggies here. I will have to wait until after Mother's Day to go to the Coop.

Hello, Lisa, glad to see you on SFG. Your blog last year inspired me to check out SFG and now I've gone into it in a big way.
