Just found this site, and it looks inviting.
I'm doing my best this year to have a garden again after years of none, or barely getting by with a little bit of container garden.

Looking forward to good information and news.

Hi there and welcome! (and yes that is not my current picture lol)
If you have the book you will have a solid background in the method we use around here. I've been a square foot gardener for 2 and a 1/2 years. It's great, it works, and Mel Bartholomew the author spent over 30 years simplifying the method. Enjoy the forum it's a fun place to hang out and expand your gardening knowledge.

Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of us in your area. I know of Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, and Shelbyville members, so you are among both friends and neighbors.

Read the book. It makes this method very simple to apply.

Let me also put in a good word for trying the methods in containers to increase your harvest. Mel's Mix is perfect for containers as well.
