potato boxes
There was a topic a week or so ago about growing potatoes and using bins or boxes. I got bit by this and have ordered fingerling seed potatoes. Now I have to figure out where to site the boxes. I have limited space and sunlight issues to consider. I am thinking of putting them on a concrete slab in the back of the yard (old dog run). Any thoughts? BTW, never place seed orders at 1:00 in the morning.

Even easier
You can grow potatoes in black plastic garbage bags, and you can even do it indoors. We heard about this on a radio show in 2010, and we tried it in 2011 with success. The only problem is that we don't really eat Irish potatoes, so we stopped growing them.
Here is a link about it. We used Mel's Mix, and it worked well.
