SSE Seeds Empty SSE Seeds

Post  floyd1440 3/1/2013, 6:19 am

Yesterday I went to all the box stores to see what new gardenning stuff they have, regarding seeds starting, and most of their seeds and growing meduims, plugs, trays, etc. are from Jiffy or Burpee.

I stopped at an Ace to see if they had anything and there was a whole rack of seeds from Seed Savers Exchange!!!!

I went to the front desk and asked if I could talk to the manager and she came over in a couple of minutes. We went over to the SSE display and I pointed out is was half empty and the Burpee seeds seemed full and I asked why. She said that the reluctantly put up the SSE seed rack 10 days ago and we both noticed it was over half empty and needed to be refilled.

She said they don't make much profit from these seeds so she said she wasn't going to order anymore this year. Also being a manager we went up to the cashier and I pointed out the one packet of seeds and $40 of hardware stuff I purchased and said it would have been cheaper to get this stuff at Home Depot but I got them at your store because you have high quality seeds too and currently they do not; hope they get some more in,,,

cheers
