SFG for our daycare
This is my second year SFG'ing and I loved it so much I volunteered to help our daycare do their first ever SFG garden. They already have five raised beds (45.5" X24.5") with dirt and playground mulch in them. I will of course, dump them and put in fresh new Mels mix. I am thinking of emailing the other parents and asking for compost from their efforts (what do you think?).
What would you recommend planting and growing. It would need to be something that grows fast and keeps their attention, but maybe also somethings that take some time so they can really feel what gardening is like.
I have been kicking around the idea of doing a salsa garden, then the kids could make salsa and take it home.
You guys are the best and I am eagerly awaiting planting season!

Re: SFG for our daycare
Victoria posted this the other day which might help with ideas:

You could also contact the foundation. I think they have materials available for teaching SFG to kids.

I am my gardens worst enemy.
