Do you have any photos of seed. Some of them are so fascinating.

Re: Photos of Seeds
oooo...those are neat! I don't have a close up like that but I have these guys. Don't know what they are other than they are from the Carribbean. I call them my yin-yang seeds and have never planted one:
If anyone from down that way knows the name I'd love to know.

red and black Rosary Bead (AKA: Prayer Bead / Crab's Eye / Jequinity Bean) (Abrus precatorius) seeds. These seeds are poisonous, especially if ground up and eaten do not use on projects for children!! cold hardy up to zone 9b. also says to keep away from pets. couldn't tell the size from your picture but the ones on the net were very small, a dime could cover maybe 4 or 5. they are also used to make jewelry

Re: Photos of Seeds
That's them! Well done, oldgrayfox. I've had them for years as a momentum of a trip but with no plans to do anything with them. They appear to be dangerous. I thank you and I'll put them away in a sealed baggie.

camprn,
I just went to the link on the Glass Gem Corn and read the article. It was very informative and makes people realize how important heirloom varieties and seed saving is.
Besides, the picture is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like you could just pop off the kernels and string them into beautiful jewelry. Thanks for sharing the link!

Re: Photos of Seeds
What are these? They were used to vote for our favorite animals at the Agricultural Fair last summer. Having never seen one, I'm thinking fava beans? If so, when would I plant them? Do they vine or bush? How far apart?
