nasturtium in Baltimore?
Hi, I would like to plant nasturtium to keep aphids off my lettuce. I can't find any in Baltimore. Anyone have any leads? Or is there anything else I should plant instead? What about those sticky yellow traps?

Plant petunias! They will give the same affect! I have lots of petunias and they should be a lot easier to find! Give those aphids on your veggies a strong blast of water to dislodge them. Do you also have lots of ants? If so you might want to treat the ants to help with your aphid problem because the ants protect the aphids! Next year you could try planting some sunflowers! They attract pests and are so big and strong that they suffer minimal damage!
