Hi

We have had a very wet and cold summer so far in the UK. I have suddenly noticed this disease on one cucumber plant in the greenhouse. The plant has a few yellow half-eaten leaves but is otherwise healthy. How do I treat the plant? Any suggestions most welcome. Cucumber disease C:\Users\The_Ro\Pictures\2012-07-10\cucumber disease

Hi and welcome to the forum!! It sounds so my like it may be a pest issue rather than a disease if the leaves are half eaten! Could you post a picture of it that would help a lot!

Cucumbers often develop yellow spots on the leaves. These are caused by the bacterium Pseudomonas syringae. They have little effect on yield, but they make the leaves unattractive. These bacteria spread on wet leaves, especially when the wet leaves are handled. Avoid overhead watering or working in the garden after watering or rain to reduce incidence and spread.
