Pill bugs on the canteloupes
Just noticed this morning that the the pill bugs are starting to eat the outside of my canteloupes. I moved some onto the top of the cinder block caps that border the top of my bed to get them off the MM.
Question A: They haven't chewed much up, but they did chew a little: Are the canteloupes still okay?
Question B: what should I do about these bugs/crustaceans?

This is what I used in this spring when I had a bunch of pill bugs..killed them in 24-48 hours. You can get this at Lowes, Tractor Supply, Agway, etc.

If they did not go all the way thru the skin, the cantalope should be fine, but, if injured it may ripen quickly so pay attention to it. You could try to put inside a pantyhose and tie off the top to keep them out. Here is a link for all sorts of bugs for organic control. Jo
