Spinach Seed Saving
I went online to see how to save spinach seeds and got more confused when I learned there are two types, male and female.
How do I determine which ones are male or female and which ones to save? Perhaps someone with some experience could lend me some advice.

Re: Spinach Seed Saving
Hi,
I do not believe that you will get seeds from a male plant. It will just produce flowers with pollen, like squash or holly trees. If you find seeds in a seed pod, it should be from a female plant. Hope this helps.

Thanks Patty..I will keep an eye on it as some are starting to flower, yellow, and I have NEVER grown spinach but want to save some seeds.
As I mentioned earlier I saw something on you tube talking about the male/female plants. Can i tell what they are before they get seed pods?
