Growing new Blueberry Bushes from cuttings
Thanks for the info. I am not really interested in buying any blueberry bushes. My boyfriend passed away in February of 2011 and I would like to start some bushes from his bush before his daughter sells the house. She also expressed an interest in doing this. The berries should be ripe in 3 or 4 weeks, so I am also going to try to get some seed from them, and try that as well. The bushes (2 of them) are much too large to transplant unless she has a landscaper do it. Way back in the early 90's he started some from cuttings and I do have three of those yet.

I can't help -- but I certainly want to wish you well in getting some transplanted. I have plants from my deceased parents, relatives, and other homes where I've lived. It's really nice to have a living tribute.

Mabel - I checked out the first link listed above and it gave great directions on how to get cutting. Best time is early spring or fall.
