Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and express my thanks to all the wonderful info-encouragement, and wit I read from all the posts. Finished reading mel's book a few weeks ago and am revved about trying this new (to me) way of gardening.Hoping to have a box or 2 built and filled with MM soon. wish me luck Mary

Don't forget to visit the Coastal & Tropical South Forum, in the Regional Forums section of the home page. You can chat with others growing a SFG in our region there about issues unique to us, like extreme heat, etc.

We LOVE pictures around here! Feel free to ask any questions, chances are someone has an answer, if you wait around long enough for them to come along.

Welcome to the site, brcbedard. I'm also new and built my bed in May. The people here are very helpful and encouraging. You're going to love this way of gardening.
