I'm sorry to say that I gave false information about pre-soaked and dry sugar snap pea seeds earlier. Two of us were sowing seeds. I had the pre-soaked ones to plant. Another person at the comm garden had what I was told were dry seeds. Just learned they were NOT dry. They were pre-soaked seeds also. The only dry ones were sowed in a short 4' length along the fence. Those, I'm sorry to say, did not germinate as quickly nor as productively. The pre-soaked seeds came up a good week and more sooner and had close to 100% germination. The dry seed was much later popping thru and germination was closer to 70% than 100%.

So remember folks, pre-soak your pea seeds the night before and you'll get faster germination and more of them.

Thats good , brave & honest QB .

I started my second set of sugarsnaps presoaked , three to a four inch plant pot of MM stood in a 1/4" of water in a seed tray and let them get started on the kitchen window cill , once they said " Hello " to the worls I let them get to an inch and a half tall put them in the glasshouse to harden for a few days . Planted them out three days ago and they have really got going.

Third set are Kelvedon Wonder also started indoors in pots & are sitting in the glasshouse hardening off waiting for another few days .
