New SFGer in Kentucky
Hey everyone! Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself here in the regional forum. My name is Ashley and I live in Lexington, KY. This will be my first SFG although I did some tomatos and peppers last year in a raised bed before finding Mel's original book (I have the newer one on order from Amazon) and was very pleased.
I'm really excited to see how this method works for me and look forward to hearing from others in my area who have found SFGing to be rewarding!

Re: New SFGer in Kentucky
Welcome the the forum! I used to live in Lexington (long ago), and that is where I first began to garden, though not with the SFG method.
The most important aspect of SFG'ing is getting the Mel's Mix right. Be sure to read Boffer's great post on the subject here. That has been the most important thing I have been learning from the other posters here on the forum.
The next most important (and closely related) item is to begin composting right away, if you haven't already done so. There are many excellent posts on the forum about this topic, and many excellent websites to help you decide how you want to do that.
Best of luck!

Ashley!
You'll find the new book makes SFG even easier! We look forward to hearing about your progress and, of course, we always like pictures!
