Hello!

Yay!!! Very Happy
I filled my first SFG last Friday, and I have two more SFG to enjoy
planting tomorrow! (It was too hot today in PA. 89 degree!)

But I was wondering if... walnut, serviceberry (junberry), and blue berry are friends to each other??

I
just bought a new plant of service berry and blue berry last Saturday.
I always wanted to grow fruit tree, and I just bought them when I saw
them at one organic farm.
But when I came home, I realized that my yard is filled with several walnut trees. Shocked
(I did some search, but I could not find out.)

Do you think I can plant them in my yard?
I guess I could plant my blueberry in a pot, but junberry tree might be too big to plant in a pot?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Susie9!

Do you know if the walnut trees you have are English walnuts or black walnuts?

This thread has some links about black walnut toxicity:
https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/t6655-black-walnut-toxicity

If your trees are English walnuts, then this issue would not apply. If they are black walnuts, then you may want to put the berries in pots as far out of the dripline of the trees as possible. Smile

Thanks to UnderTheBlackWalnut! Very Happy
My walnut trees are English Walnut, but I will try and pot my blueberry.

I'm learning a lot from this forum.
The thread you answers my wonders why I was not successful with certain plants ever since I moved here in PA.
SFG "under the English Walnut" Laughing sounds like the answer to grow many plants I couldn't grow otherwise.
