Pelletized Chicken Manure
Hey.....
I found a store that carries pelletized chicken manure compost. It's a 25 pound bag. Since it's dry, how would that 25 pound bag compare to a non-dry manure compost? Every other composted manure I've seen is usually 40 pounds and it's not dry.

This is an interesting find.
I'd say most manure is at least 50% water.
Just a guess.

TTT best look a the recommended usage rate and then that of the other bagged stuff there should be a relationship there somewhere .
eg.
Three ounces of the chicken stuff to one square yard of ground
1/2 a cubic foot of bagged to one square yard of ground
You should also find the price per sq yard comparison interesting when you work out the totals .

Thanks for the heads up. Now that I know where to get the stuff, I won't mind driving back down there again....it's maybe 20 minutes from my house.

I emailed the company and they believe that it can be used as part of the mix without burning the plants. I'll keep a log this year as I have 40 strawberrys planted in my MM right now... We'll see how they do

If the manure's fully composted there shouldn't be a problem.
Keeping a log?? That reminds me I should start keeping a log of my gardening this year. I have all sorts of crazy ideas and I want to be able to keep track of them all.
