Spinach Article
I read somewhere in an article that Spinach could be difficult to germinate and grow. Even Mel B. wrote that Spinach was somewhat to grow.
I followed the advice in this article, and planted four varieties of Spinach in one square: Teton Hybrid, Baby's Leaf, Hybrid Tyee, and Melody Hybrid. All were bought at Southern States. I put 2 seeds of each variety into those little cups you use to dispense catsup and just poured 8 seeds into each hole, about 1/2 inch deep, in Mel's Mix. They were planted on March 3. So far, many of the seeds have germinated and are doing well. Some varieties may not live long, but with this many types, I am sure to have success.
