Hello from Minnesota!
I recently relocated to southern Minnesota and started eating a whole-food, plant-based diet. With this change in my life I thought it was time to grow my first garden! I've planted a tomato plant in the past and it wasn't successful (if I recall correctly, I forgot to water the poor plant). This year I'm installing two 4X4 square foot gardens where I will see them daily! I'm so excited to get into the project and learn from the website.

If you are really committing to this, then by all means get the book. It is priceless. All New Square Foot Gardening. I am sure it is available on the website. I am sure you will have a ball with this and soon wonder why you thought two boxes would be enough when four would be even more fun!

Hello, Welcome to the forums. You aren't too far from where I live. Great weather we've been having. I'll be able to plant almost 2 months early this year. You will love square foot gardening. Make sure you read the book and follow the advice closely, especially the mels mix chapter it is the most important. If you do that, you will have great success.

Welcome Welcome Welcome!
This is indeed a wonderful spring to give SFG a try! Post pics when you can, even of boxes being set up and MM being mixed. We LOVE pics, especially seeing how things progress!

YAY for Minnesotans!
I feel like SFG is getting closer to my home I am in Wisconsin, just across the St. Croix River from the Twin Cities (barely qualifies as Wisconsin in some ways).
