Any SE Oklahoma SFG people here?

We're in SE Oklahoma up in the Kiamichi Wilderness. Was wondering if anyone else has tried SFG in that area. We need all the advice/help/tips we can get. I feel like we're starting off too big but my husband insists that 14 boxes is not too big (he wanted 20 to start!). I'm having trouble locating 5 different kinds of compost and the big bags of coarse vermiculite. HELP!

in Eufaula Ok and found vermiculite at Burdines . Just planted part of square foot garden today YAY! I have four boxes and planted one and a half of them today.
