Well, I've finally kind-of finished my boxes. (Ignore all the crap still in some of them.) The big ones are 12" deep and the small ones are 8" deep. This may not have been the best thought out project...the boxes went in before the mulch. So the bottoms are half buried and I'm betting will rot pretty fast. Oh well. This view is west. The one in the back right corner is where my sproutlings are.

Nice!

I'm going to mulch around mine this year. It was a PITA to try and mow the grass and weed eat around them. Looks good to.

I think they look great. I love the mulch too. Much more practical than grass.

Wow that looks so great! Ha! Now I feel justified in my plan to dig the soil down a couple of inches around my box before adding mulch. *lol*

Boy oh boy do I wish I had enough sun in my side yard for a set up like that!

Having so much sun on this side makes up for having absolutely none on the other! We mulched that side too...but I have no idea what to do with it. What wants to grow without any light?

Mowing around the beds?!? That would be insane! I would spend half my time out there cursing the grass. Twisted Evil
