Burpee Planting Guide
Got these charts from the Orange County Fair, thought it was awesome so I scanned them and want to share. (And also thanks to Chopper who it looks like has been keeping everyone on track what to plant lol!)

Thanks. I love planting guides also. Are these specific to So Cal? They look thorough.
(Edit) Ah - once I enlarged them I was able to see. It says "California' which is pretty broad. Like saying "East Coast'. But it looks pretty good. And I find plants do not really care what Burpee says. They will either grow or they won't. LOL.

Anyone else remember when Burpee had a big place in Riverside? It was on Rutland off of Arlington west of Van Buren. I remember getting seed in their retail store around 1980 or so when we lived in the Glen Avon area(now part of Jurupa Valley) of Riverside. I had a few raised beds and vagually remember hearing about the original SFG then.
Orange County Fair has a lovely garden area in the Centenial Farm which features lots of raised beds.

I know, I do wish they had a separate "Southern" and "Northern" California, as we have so much variation in weather!
But easier than stabbing in the dark, I think, and I did like how it was easy "at a glance". A good starting off point, I always found it so hard to figure out the back of those darn seed packets.
And I look forward to going by "Chopper's Official Southern California Monthly Planting Guide" posts!

Ah, I never got to see the Burpee place in Riverside Bummer!
And the gardens at Centennial Farm is one of my favorite things about the county fair! (besides copious amounts of deeply fried foods, of course!)

If you want a SoCal planting guide, look at digitialseed.com. They have planting guides for Veggies, Flower and a whole section for San Diego gardeners.
