A Snowy Halloween
Right now in Pennsylvania(I live about 40 minute from Harrisburg) the snow's coming down pretty good. I think the forecast is around 6 inches. I took this picture just for fun and it's really really strange to see snow on my Halloween display.

The reason for the unexpected snowstorm is because Mother Nature is confused by all the Christmas decorations and music in the stores!!

I used to work for Home Depot and during the first week of October of 2006, I was part of a small crew that went from store to store in our district setting up all of the Christmas merchandise/displays. That was surprising, but still fun.
LOL and at the end of August of that year I was building snow throwers!

I got caught completely unawares. I honestly didn't believe we'd get any sticking snow - yesterday when I checked the forecast it was still saying 45 degrees for a high. But it stayed right around 35 or so all day, so we've had a nice, slushy snow falling all day. Here's a picture of the remnants of my summer garden!

That's just incredible....Snow in October.
All of this snow is weighing down my trees and landscaping plants. Fortunately it's supposed to warm up here a bit tomorrow so all of that should be taken care of.
Hey Moswell.....do you have any idea what it's like in the Plainfield area??

It's a bit north and west of me, so I imagine it's at least as snowy there. I think I was pretty close to the rain/snow line. We got a couple inches maybe. Heavy snow is definitely weighing down the trees here too - I moved my car for fear a branch would fall on it.

I was just wondering because most of my work is done in the Plainfield area. It's lousy having to drive there from Pennsylvania a few days a week.

That does sound like a major PITA. Fortunately, I imagine all the snow will melt tomorrow.
