How to find Mel's Mix online at Home Depot or Lowe's
In another topic I mentioned that if you search online for Mel's Mix at either HD or Lowe's you wouldn't find it. But if you use the search term "Garden Time" or "Gardentime" (without the quotes) you can see if it's available at the store you want to shop at.
If the store listed at the top of the page is not the one you want, you can change it. Let me know if you need help in how to do that.
Good luck...

This is really trendous. Does it have EVERYTHING in it? (I can't tell from the photo).
Has anyone compared the price of DIY verses this? I recently saw a product by Black Gold that had many manures and vermiculite in it.
It could make it much easier for a lot of people.

Others have suggested that the pre-bagged mix may be more expensive than DIY but definitely a boon if you are having trouble finding all the elements. However, I do not think it's being distributed in all areas of the US.

Mel's Mix would have been cheaper for me.
Mel's Mix would have been cheaper for me. I just put in my first SFG. I kept careful notes and receipts. I ended up going heavy on the cow manure because all the other composts were so expensive (Chicken Doo Doo, Lobster, Shrimp/Kelp etc...)
I figure if I could have bought Mel's Mix it would have been about $3 cheaper than what I did for a 4x8 box. (And a whole lot easier too!)
