San Antonio Newbie-My First Boxes!
Hello to All!
Well I have completed my boxes all by myself (2-1x4's and a 2x4) since I live in a 1bdrm Apt, I stopped being scared and just did it. WoW! I had a little trouble with a defective Drill but I got a new one. I also had to lift my boxes on to my Dining room chairs after they were filled to add additional screws so the plywood would not bow. I mixed the ingredients on my patio(2nd flr) on a tarp, whoo that was work, coated my boxes with boiled linseed oil and loaded them up with Mel's mix.
Fairly simply for even someone like me who is mechanically challenge! But I had a Blast! And well...welaah!

Apartment Garden
Pictures of my garden:
I have planted, in 1-1x4: Spinach, Blackseed Simpson lettuce, Mixed Mesclun Greens, Scallions/Salad Bowl lettuce. 2nd 1x4: Alaskan Peas, Lemon Cukes, Green Beans, Sumpter Cukes. 1-2x4: Little Gem Romaine, Georgia Collards, Kale, Broccoli, Mixed Mini Bell's, Earligirl Tomato and Romaine.
In other containers I have planted Sweetie Tomatoes, Banana Peppers, Chili Peppers, Sweet Pimento Peppers, Strawberries, Edible Nastriums, Edible Marigolds, Regular Marigolds, Zinnia, (bought last year in April 09) Chapanel Grapes, Meyer Improved Lemon Tree and a Morro Blood Orange tree.
Trellis' were bought at a nursery and some were Augmented with additional lumber. I also have extra materials for the cukes if the get out of hand I purchases extra sticks and trellis netting and will change by trellis if needed for the 1x4 box by screwing in the new netted trellis' as needed.
...And yes my neighbors looked at my crazy when I was on my balcony with lumber and a drill...hee hee. More pics as progress comes

Nice garden, I like it.
Hey you're being different from them, and different is good. I'm sure you'll have great success and it sounds like you'll be enjoying some great food and a fun patio.

Looking good cant wait to see pictures of them full of veggies and dont worry if people look at you like your insane (normalicy is a disease) when you have fresh veggies and fruit there going to and then truck on down to the store to get the insecticide infested produce they can dont be too surprised if a few neighbors stop by when they see what your doing and ask for help and advice

Nice!
Those look awesome! Your neighbors may look at you funny but they won't when they see what grows, except with jealousy.
