SF area, what are you planting now? Empty SF area, what are you planting now?

Leaving on the "damp and foggy" side of the hills, whare are you planting in your boxes now?

I'm planning to fill my box this weekend (and finish making the box) and am thinking that lettuce and radish are going to play a major part in my crop, but wondering what others are planting?

SF area, what are you planting now? Empty coming up now

Post  claudia_1968 9/29/2011, 10:29 pm

Planted last week beets, peas and spinach, also radishes and carrots.
the minor heat wave is great for the beets and gives the peas a good start and kaboom I got radishes seedlings up in less than 2 days. No carrots yet......... spinach is up but doesn't look good pill bugs got to them but I put down more than enough seed. I am curious to see if my indeterminate toms will do another round of tomatoes. The heavy dew in my area and foggy morns lend to powdery mildew so my squash has been poor this year except for the yellow patty pans they did great but now have succumbed to mildew which slows production and growth. I will not spray just keep trimming the affected areas just in case they make an unexpected come back as I have seen before. I do sfg in a 4ft x6ft area and the rest is in containers done in a sf fashion to be able to take advantage of the south sun. I like my peppers best of all every year.

cheers!
