I'm new to tomatoes. I have one indeterminate beefstake. It produced one batch of fruit and partially collapsed from weight. Currentlt it only has a few stragglers left on it but the plant is still green and vibrant. How can I help it restart tomato production and growth?

Do I give it a fertlizer hit? It it with some bone meal for P to encouraging flowering?

Or should I rip it out and start over?

If the plant is still living and looking good, an indeterminate can grow to a few hundred feet, if allowed. Give it some support and if you would like some compost top dressing or feed it, and it will probably put out blooms. Good luck! Very Happy

Mine didn't collapse, but they shut down after the first fruits, too. Could it be heat? I know SoCal isn't known for heat, so I don't know if it got too hot and stressed your plants. Most likely, the collapse caused the stress, and the plant just needs time to heal.

Mine was heat related, but they are producing again. Yours likely will, too.

I'm guessing that it stopped producing for a while because of heat. Mine did the same thing, but then picked back up once cooler temps returned. Do you see new blossoms at the top of the plant?
