Me Me Me! My Turn! I want to show my gardens!
These are pictures of my first attempt at gardening and of course, at SFG! I had purchased a raised bed kit from Sams and planted some tomatoes and herbs, all from seeds. Then a friend turned me on to SFG and I have been obsessed since. I made a SFG and planted purple hull peas, green beans, okra, and a jalapeno pepper, also all from seeds. I am looking forward to expanding next year and doing even more and having a more thought out garden plan to incorporate more variety and staggered planting, and using the knowledge I gain here to select plants that will thrive in my area since my heirloom tomatoes are suffering in this South Georgia heat. This is the best and I am having a blast gardening and have been spreading the SFG word! I love the idea of gardening from my red lawn chair! I have had a few minor gardening problems so far........ants, a few tiny hornworms, and now blossom drop due to the excessive heat, but nothing to dampen my enthusiasm yet.
Looking forward to spending more time on the forum and learning lots and lots.

Watch those peas! If you become as addicted to them as I have, they will occupy 4 rows next season. ![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Me Me Me! My Turn! I want to show my gardens!
AWWW Shucks! Thanks guys! It has really been easy and very rewarding! I do wish I had gotten an earlier start and started with all SFGs but I think I have a better plan for next year. I have also converted a couple of friends who have made SFGs already too. My boyfriend is a very picky eater and was not raised on healthy foods or fresh vegetables so his palate is unaccustomed to the wonderful things you can grow and raise and eat, but to date, he actually now loves squash, onion, peas (gotten from the farmers market), and he even ate a fried green tomato last night! I have high hopes for more variety next year. I will admit that I dont like black eyed peas but my granddaddy always grew purple hull peas and they are my favorite. I wanted to do more peas than I did but since I was only going to do one bed, I had to make room for green beans and okra. My next big challenge is going to be to convert my uncle to SFG. He is a dyed in the wool, lifelong single row gardener so it may never happen, but he seems to be interested in knowing how I am doing under the guise of skepticism. I think he is impressed. And if not, oh well, I am! LOL.
Thanks for letting me share my pics. I have some more and will post some of my flowers in a separate post. Thanks for the encouragement and I am glad to be here!

Very nice, it's funny how easy it is to convert people to SFG. All you need do is let them watch it grow. Mine is out front and the neighbors are just amazed at how big and beautiful the plants have grown in such little soil. Ok, not soil really MM.

It's good to hear you describe it as having a blast. I'd love to grow a gorgeous Black Krim like yours. Just Murphy's Law that you have a bit too much sun and heat and I have too little at times.

It looks fabulous!!!! I am jealous that you can start pepper seeds right in your garden! I am in MN and had to start mine indoors months before.
