How kind of you to ask! We are fine here in the capital city and to be honest, since I am a geologist and my husband is a geologist, you could say that we are too far away from it Sad

I want to see it but the rescue services are telling people not to travel there so that they won't get in the way! How mean is that?
I hope that it won't mess up the flights in Europe this time. The ash seems to be coarser than the last eruption and so may stay a bit more local. No flights within the country, or to or from. That is going to be a bit boring if it carries on for long. Don't quote me but I hope it will be over in a couple of days.

My daughter studied geology and walked out on the lava beds of Kilauea when we spent a week in Hawaii. FYI, she does not work in the geology field, she is an estimator for a structural steel company.
