Re: What's wrong?
When you water these plants ate you putting water at the base of the plant or are you showering the whole plant w/ water?
Re: What's wrong?
Right after I planted, we got some torrential rains, but I have only been watering at the base of the plant with a pitcher.

So, it looks like you have some healthy foliage growing there, if it was my plant I would pinch off the bad looking older leaves and discard them. The new foliage you may want to watch to see if you have any more problems.
Re: What's wrong?
But what do you think is the culprit...too much water...downy mildew?

Re: What's wrong?
Could be something to do with all the rain. I had some problems with powdery mildew on my miniature rosebushes in FL. I read some stuff, and skeptically sprinkled them and the soil they were in with ordinary yellow cornmeal. It worked. The mildew disappeared, and the rosebushes thanked me for it.
I reapplied once more that year, when it tried to come back. Again, it disappeared.
Hey, plain yellow cornmeal. Can't hurt anything, right?

Re: What's wrong?
Hmmm. Definitely can't hurt so I will certainly do some more research on it. Thanks.
