Scrambled URL
I attempted to respond to a posted forum question, but, no matter how hard I tried, I could not paste a URL into my response without it getting scrambled.
This is the scrambled result:
.pdf]http://montgomery-tx.tamu.edu/publications/mcmga%20vegetable%20planting%20chart[2].pdf
But what I pasted into the forum did not have the leading ".pdf]". I think that the forum software is the problem. I tried this with different PCs, one with win 7 and IE 9, the other win XP and IE 7.
In fact, I can't show you the exact link, because what shows up is what you see above.
Whew!
What I finally did was post a different link, and then explained how to arrive at the right URL.

Re: Scrambled URL
I just copied the link without the "pdf" at the front and it took me to where I think you wanted us to go. Is this is it? ...

Re: Scrambled URL
That's the one. Couldn't get it to work. What was I doing wrong?
Here is what I get now
http://montgomery-tx.tamu.edu/publications/mcmga%20vegetable%20planting%20chart%5B2%5D.pdf
from copying what you posted. Works fine!

Re: Scrambled URL
Well, OK. I've been shown that there is a workaround. But, why is one needed?
I wasted hours trying to get around this bug.
Has anyone attempted to reproduce this problem?
Follow the link to the server.
Copy the link from the address bar, and paste into a forum.
What are the results?
Is there code imbedded in the URL that brings out the worst in the forrum software?
Should the forum software contain filters that would detect and correct this problem?
C'mon, Don't we deserve the best in software and customer satisfaction?

Re: Scrambled URL
I don't believe this has anything to do with the forum...no one else has had this issue.
I do exactly what you described....copy and paste.

and here is your link...I went to the page and copied and pasted.
Folks in the forum share links all day long, if this was a forum problem it would be more prevalent I think.

Here is your link:

Here is a picture of your link in the text edit box right before I hit send
The only thing that comes to mind is if you pasted your link somewhere other than the post edit box.
