Planning my first SFG
Hi all,
This year is my first time gardening ever and things are going well. I have a bunch of squares planted and plans for the rest. I am trying to plan for the summer, as spots become available after harvesting some spring crops. Does anyone have some good ideas of what I can plant in mid-July? Unfortunately, I can't do squash because i wouldn't have the space available for them. it has to be something that can fit in one square.
Also, once all the summer stuff is harvested, can you do another planting in those squares, or will it be too late? I'm outside of Boston, FWIW.
Thanks for your help!!
Nicole

Congratulations on your new SFG.
Do you know your First Frost Date for the Fall? That can help you determine how late you can start new seeds or transplants from July thru Aug or Sept. Just make sure any tender crops can mature before your First Fall Frost. Some plants are winter hardy or at least light frost hardy.
Frost Dates
Hope this helps.
