I live in Chapala, Mexico and I don't know what region I live in...any suggestions? I figure it's zone 11 but I don't know.

Our climate is the 2nd best in the world, according to National Geographic. We are high desert(5,000 ft)/spring like temperatures all year. Doesn't freeze here and must be sub tropical especially during our rainy season.

My sq ft garden is 5 weeks old and we have a bad case of the white flies who have started dining on my cucumber, zucchini and lettuce seedlings to begin with. Now they're moving on to the beets, spinach, broccoli and cauliflower. They even like rosemary and mint!

The first week I made a concoction of onion, garlic, red chili, dish soap and water...didn't seem to bother them.

2nd week I made a soap and olive oil mix...still around...last week hubby bought me some fly tape. Some are stuck to that but the colony seems to keep growing.

Any suggestions for something I can make from the kitchen???

Welcome funnygirl. I am sure you will find lots of help from this group.
You said you made an olive oil and soap mixture and it did not help?
Most sites I have seen recommend 1 tablespoon soap, 1 tsp vegetable oil and 1 quart of water, sprayed on foliage (make sure you hit both the top and the bottom of the leaves) This is what I used when I had white flies on my lettuce and parsley and I did have to spray a couple of times, every four days, but it helped.

Tropics and subtropics make you pay for the good weather with aggressive insects. LOL. I would try spraying daily for awhile. Once a week will not do it - at least until you get the worst of it under control. Consider springing for horticultural oil and if you have a local garden center or farm supply ask them what works, too. In time you will probably end up with a balance of predators and insects, but in the meantime might as well be as aggressive as they are. Good luck!
