Here's today's harvest of our West Virginia '63 heirloom tomatoes. They
are also known as WV Centennials. We've already eaten the first four we
picked last week! These tomatoes are so pretty to look at... they have
no green shoulders and are resistant to cracking (note that a few
cracked anyway!). Flavor is divine. Very meaty, few seeds. I'll try to
capture a picture next time we slice into one -- if I remember!

I grew these from seeds saved from last year. It makes me feel extra
proud. I was so worried about how puny my plants looked when I set them
out, but they are doing fine! Plants are loaded with tomatoes. Our Opalka heirlooms
are also starting to ripen. I am very anxious to see what they taste like.

Included in the picture is the Green Tiger zucchini (the SVB survivor!)
and the strawberries I picked this morning...I think a few berries are
missing...hmmmm. To see more pix of my SFG click the website link under my avatar.

Sliced and ready eat! I ate mine with chopped basil and a little Italian dressing. DH likes his with cottage cheese. They are just a memory now...
