Too Late to Plant? Empty Too Late to Plant?

Post  bripow(MI) 6/13/2010, 9:54 am

Unfortunately I just got way too busy with work the last month and was unable to plant my SFG after getting it all set up. When you're self-employed work has to take priority! Too Late to Plant? Icon_biggrin

I have some time now and can get it started today. Is it too late to plant or have I lost the season?

It's never to late to plant something. Ask around at your local nurseries and garden shops. Sure they can help with what is in planting season.

You should be just fine. And the best part is most places are clearancing out their vege plants starting this week in our zone 4. I was just at a place today that was handing out free tomato and pepper plants....now to find where to squeeze them in. They will catch right up to the rest of them. Cucumber, beans, beats etc... can still be planted from seed. Have fun!!! Besides, you can also cover the beds at the end of the season to extend, but you won't have to, it is still early enough.
