Hello- I'm a first timer!
Hello,
This I am brand new to the concept of square foot gardening. I can't wait to try this new gardening concept this spring! I live in Pennsylvania, new Philadelphia. I'm looking for all of the expert advise I can get! Roni Barna![bounce](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_bounce.gif)

My bit of advice is (probably not in the "expert" category), if you don't already have the vermiculite, start shopping for it now. AM Leonard (https://www.amleo.com/) will occasionally have sales on it. And sometimes have reduced shipping. So the trick is grab the vermiculite when it's both available, at a good price, and with reduced shipping. Of course, shipping might not be as bad for you as for me since you're closer.
Sometimes Amazon has some good prices, especially if you have prime. My local hardware stores (Home Despot and Lowes) didn't seem to stock it, but it's worth shopping early rather than waiting to Spring when everyone will want it.
Good luck on your new SFG adventure!

Barna, Welcome to the Forum from California!
If you are a Newbie, I recommend that you read either the 2nd or 3rd Edition of ALL NEW Square Foot Gardening.
This is a good thread on making Mel's Mix. https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/t7451-mel-s-mix-how-strong-is-your-backbone
Mark is correct that finding the ingredients can start now. Compressed peat moss can be found almost everywhere, like Home Depot or Lowes. It needs to be fluffed before measuring. Coarse Vermiculite can sometimes be found at sole-proprietor nurseries, as a swimming pool material, and on-line. Finding different sources of real composts can be a little more challenging (manure-based, veggie-based, worm castings [no more than 10% of total volume of composts] cotton burr-based, green and / or forest based, lobster-based, etc.)

Hi Roni. Welcome from Atlanta, GA. You'll find lots of great advice here & in the archives.
On the home page, look for your general location. That should give you a good start.
