Hello Guest!
Welcome to the official Square Foot Gardening Forum.
There's lots to learn here by reading as a guest. However, if you become a member (it's free, ad free and spam-free) you'll have access to our large vermiculite databases, our seed exchange spreadsheets, Mel's Mix calculator, and many more members' pictures in the Gallery. Enjoy.

Welcome to the forums, J!  Be sure to check out the regional forum for  North & Central Midwest, where you'll find a lot of members that experience the same weather and growing conditions as you do.

As for the gardening year, I'll just say it was 2020.....

Welcome, Marie!

We are in the Chamblee / Brookhaven area and have Stone Mountain granite about 6 inches under the soil cover. So our SFG is all above ground.

What kinds of soil are you working with?

We stopped earlier than usual, TMK! Because of unusually early freezes! We had 4 or 3 freezes in a row, before it was even the autumnal equinox!

The majority of September, 2020, also had sub-1-inch rain fall tallies in North Springfield!
