We are in the Chamblee / Brookhaven area and have Stone Mountain granite about 6 inches under the soil cover. So our SFG is all above ground.
What kinds of soil are you working with?

We stopped earlier than usual, TMK! Because of unusually early freezes! We had 4 or 3 freezes in a row, before it was even the autumnal equinox!
The majority of September, 2020, also had sub-1-inch rain fall tallies in North Springfield!
