I am in your camp, Turan! LOL!Turan wrote:Encouraged by all your lovely faces, I went out into the garden and tried to take a selfie. They all were really weird with half my head or only my chin, this selfie stuff is HARD. I ended up in the house where there were fewer variables to confuse me.
This is soooo cool! Good one Rooster!

Actually CapeCoddess got it rolling! All I did was change my avatar to myself and she ran with it! It is fun

Kind of reminds me of that J Depp character in Secret Window...you're not planting corn in that picture by any chance?BeetlesPerSqFt wrote:I'm slightly bent over, you can make out the silhouette of my gardening hat.

Ah... no. My compost bucket has a label that says no meat. And I'm "surrounded" by corn fields, so I don't grow it myself. Also, Buffalo Trace, not Jack Daniels -- and actually more often vermouth or a red wine than whiskey. (And I admit I read the IMDB entry; I haven't seen the movie.)ralitaco wrote:Kind of reminds me of that J Depp character in Secret Window...you're not planting corn in that picture by any chance?BeetlesPerSqFt wrote:I'm slightly bent over, you can make out the silhouette of my gardening hat.
I took the photo at a local park that I visited almost daily before the garden got so big and time consuming. The frog was quite obliging - IIRC I'd startled it consistently enough on previous days (not intentionally of course) that it decided I wasn't a threat after all. I wish the park would turn the drainage ditch by their road into a rain garden - or at least not spray it with herbicides. There was a lot of cool stuff to photograph before they started doing that.

Okay, here I am with my favorite Garden Puddy Tat. This is the guy that chases seed packets and one day calmly walked over to my seed box, sniffed the packets, and very gently picked one up with his teeth and brought it to me to throw for him. It was a packet of Catnip seeds!

Re: April Avatar: Show Yourself!
Mr. and Mrs. TN Geezer.
I was reluctant to take this picture this AM after my unexpected transformation on Monday. Mrs. Geezer conspired with her three friends, all hairstylists, and it was determined that I no longer had enough hair on the top of my head to keep any at all. What I thought was a dinner at one of these ladies' houses turned into a shanghai or should I say shanghair. They told me I had no option and had to sit down for the headshave.
Mrs. Geezer fell in love with the new look, so I guess having hair is now a thing of the past.
The necklace Mrs. Geezer is wearing is an abalone pendant with freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals, coral, and sterling silver that she handmade. That's both her passion and her avocation. I do all the boring stuff for her--the bookkeeping, inventory, store visits, etc.

Loving these photos! As I am the picture taker, I'm not in photos unless I'm dressed up or in a group photo! I won't post photos of any one else without permission and I don't know how to crop. Unfair to all of you who posted real life photos for me to post a dress up photo.

If you have a good one on the computer, you could send it to me via email. I can cut, crop, sharpen, adjust for too much or too little light, and send it back to you for your avatar. I'd be happy to do it for you.sanderson wrote:Loving these photos! As I am the picture taker, I'm not in photos unless I'm dressed up or in a group photo! I must be a senior because I forgot to post a photo of KauiaRosina that she sent to me. She said she has enjoyed seeing everyone's photo.
