Can Yard Long Beans Tolerate Cold Nights
My yard long beans are bursting out of their Jiffy Pellets. I can put them out, but our nights are still getting down into the low 40s. Will they survive?

I've never started beans inside. But you could probably put a few out and see how they do. To cover or not to cover, that is the question though.
I seem to remember a NE member growing them in her bedroom. They couldn't go out in the cold yet so they grew everywhere. I can't remember what happened once she was able to transplant them, so keep us posted if you do an experiment.

Good idea. I'll put out the biggest ones, then wait and see.
