4x8

It is a 4x8 with a trellis. Since the pic was taken, I have put a greenhouse over it and have built two more 4x4 boxes with a 7 ft trellis on them. I will be posting some pics today.

Re: Building my new garden
Thanks. I'm going to post a bunch of pics today but first, I have to go to Wal-Mart this morning and buy the rest of the materials to finish my 3rd greenhouse.sanderson wrote:Great start on your SFG!![]()

Yes, the wine barrels are mine. I use them for caged tomatoes and Peppers.
I was going to post some pics but made a vid instead. Take a look.

Well, that was A LOT of fun! You hoops are perfect, and your gardens and trees are blooming already. Can't believe how far along you are in southern IL. And the black trellis looks like it's aching for some concord grapes. What a steel!
Thanks for the tour. Well done, Mr Booker! Gave me the much needed nudge to get my hoops up.

Green trellis
The trellis is actually green but my camera didn't pick it up. Don't you hate it when the weather man uses the word "plummet"? It was near 70 degrees and sunny here today and it plummeted down to 40 deg within a few hours with a cold rain.CapeCoddess wrote:Well, that was A LOT of fun! The hoops are easy to build and cheap. At Home Depot, the 10 ft x 3/4 pvc pipe is less than $2.00 and so is the 10 ft x 1/2 in emt pipe. Just cut the emt pipe 18 inches and drive them in the ground and cut the pve pipe 9 ft and just slide it over the emt pipe.
