Just a little fun question, and hopefully, another great learning experience for me.

What kind of peppers are you growing, or have grown in the past?

I am a bit of a pepper fanatic. I can't get enough peppers or spicy things. In fact, the possibility of having my own fresh ingredients to make hot salsa and hot sauce is one of the driving factors for why I am starting gardening for the first time this year.

I'd love to hear what kind of peppers everyone has grown, their experiences with it, and any tips, tricks, or recommendation you might have.

As of right now, I plan to grow plenty of peppers. I was leaning towards 4 or 5 jalapeno plants, a serrano plant, a cayenne plant, and a habanero plant. I might change some of these based on the availability of starter plants, because I don't think I am ready or experienced enough to try and start them from seed on my own.

hi, Nida, I just used the Search box for peppers. There are 111 threads, some describing specific varieties from little mini bells to ghost peppers. This is probably the best way to find out what folks thought about them and even some preserving recipes.

Tons of info here! I like sweet peppers, just a few jalapeños for some heat! Happy reading!

In the past I've done cayenne, mucho nacho jalapena, carribean red habanero, giant Marconi, Fat N Sassy, Big Jim chile.  This year I'm not going to do variety, but quantity.  I will be seeding several 72 cell flats of Aristotle, King Arthur, and Yolo Wonder bell peppers.  stir fry, salads, stir fry, stuffed, etc.
