Re: Senseless Banter...
Anyone do Family History? A couple of days ago I had a reply from a question I asked on the Internet from a site called Rootsweb eighteen years ago.
The result is that two parts of our family are being reunited after losing touch.
How neat is that?

What's more, ralitac, she replied to an out-of-date email so searched the web and found my business email and took a chance that I was the same person.
When I tried to Google myself, I came up with the same name hundreds of times but did not find myself.
I am lost.

You are not lost, you are right where you are. It IS amazing how proficient some folks are when they search you on the internet.Kelejan wrote:What's more, ralitac, she replied to an out-of-date email so searched the web and found my business email and took a chance that I was the same person.

Verizon Smart Rewards = Free magazines
On a completely different note...
For those of you that use Verizon, did you know you can get free magazines.
VZN has what they call Smart Rewards. The best deal I found on there is their magazines. They run specials and some of them end up being just points.
Right now Dwell magazine is free with points.
Just thought I'd share

Look what Popped up in the Garden!
Well, in the garden of our family's life... our sweet newest grandson, Hunter James Krogen arrived Thursday, March 24th at 10:26 PM at 8 lbs. 6 oz. and 22 inches long. He had a struggle to breath after birth and is still in Children's Hospital but is doing well and will be coming home soon.
Nana was privileged to be in the delivery room to witness the miracle of birth. Daughter and son-in-law are doing well if lacking sleep due to his being in the hospital.
I'm missing from these pictures as I literally started getting sick 1/2 hour after his birth - a nasty head cold that is keeping me from him right now. Prayers for both of our quick recoveries would be greatly appreciated!
My sweet hubby and our middle daughter Jennifer (happy Auntie) are in the pictures.
I can't wait for my newest little garden buddy to come work with me

Re: Senseless Banter...
Congratulations on the birth of your grandson Hunter James Krogen. He's a handsome looking guy. Also my prayers for both of you as well as his parents.
For me he also has an interesting name. We have two grandson's. The middle name of the youngest is "Hunter" and the middle name of the oldest is "James". So a great combination.

We loved the name the first time we heard it. The his middle name, James, was after my first husband who passed away of Melanoma skin cancer when Hunter's mommy was just 7.
Re: Senseless Banter...
Oh gosh darn, that's the most perfect little flower ever! It'll be fun watching him grow up. Lucky you, Nana!

Lovely Easter present, Audrey-Jeanne. Look forward to following his progress in the garden but we will have to be patient.
All the best to you and your family.

I'll be darned. Turned on the PBS this morning and GGW was on followed by 2 other garden-related shows. Of course, I didn't have time to watch any of them, but I was glad to know they were on.

Re: Senseless Banter...
Thanks for the kind wishes - I'm working hard at trying to get better so I can get my hands on him!!! My family has been sweet about sending me lots of pictures but it won't be the same until I get to hold him! This wasn't exactly how I imagined this would happen
Re: Senseless Banter...

Re: Senseless Banter...
Kelejan - I have to look at my phone to be able to tell what day it is. Looking at a calendar doesn't help one bit.ralitaco wrote:Kelejan wrote:Amended to read Saturday again. I was forgetting that Friday was a holiday. that's what happens when you retire, you lose track of the days.

Ralitaco - I remember retiring cause it just happened not because I have a memory.

Re: Senseless Banter...
What I do is to turn on the computer to see the date then look at the calendar to see the day, then look at the calendar again to see how to spell it. It works a treat.
Re: Senseless Banter...
That is basically what I am doing except my iphone shows the date. Then look at the calendar to determine the day of the week.Kelejan wrote:What I do is to turn on the computer to see the date then look at the calendar to see the day, then look at the calendar again to see how to spell it.
