Yellow Bush Beans
I have a space problem with the yellow bush beans I planted this year. Used the same spacing as my green ones but they turned into more of a pole type bean and were taking over several squares.
I checked the seed package and they are "bush" beans but wonder if someone can suggest a variety that has worked for them.

Re: Yellow Bush Beans
Some bush beans are more vigorous (tall) than others. I simply let mine take over and flop. However, some people fence them in with that decorative white or black wire edging that stands up perhaps a foot.
Re: Yellow Bush Beans
I'm using that this year in a raised bed, but a vigorous bush bean can still far outgrow them. I think they're still very nice for giving the beans something to vine through as they grow, which has multiple benefits for fragile bean stalks. But then they're still gonna grow freestyle over the top. But better that they are at least a little secure on the bottom because of those little wire "fences."
