Hi from Central NJ
Hi everyone,
This is my first year starting an SFG for our vegetables after reading about Mel Bartholomew's SFG website.
We are only doing one 4x4 garden since we are beginners. The initial investment seems a bit daunting but found that when we made Mel's mixture ourselves, we had enough to use for my other 2 gardens for my flowers.
Today, I am redoing my rock garden; the final garden with Mel's mixture.
I am very excited and hoping for a good bounty from the vegetable garden and glad that I joined the forums.
Happy gardening everyone.

Re: Hi from Central NJ
Hello Dunkinjean - welcome to SFG and the Forum. Yes, SFG can be a bit pricey AT FIRST but remember that next year all you'll have to do is PLANT and enjoy as that Mel's Mix will last for years with you only adding a bit of compost as you go. Best of luck with your garden!
