porch flowers
It happened again this year,, wife purchased hanging baskets and they went bad, she had enough time to get these and start in Mel's Mix...
Now she's starting to ask me if I have any left...LOL...
These are mounding petunias
I'll start them next season from seed.

Beautiful! I thought she was going to use MM this year after seeing how nice your hanging flowers were last year?
Re: porch flowers

Holy cow! Very beautiful. I guess it's just a focal point, because it doesn't look like there's room to sit in there.

Re: porch flowers
Can you imagine it with butterflies, bees, & hummingbirds filling it...? sigh......
Re: porch flowers
Thought of you, Jimmy. This basket is over 4' long. The basket is way up inside the draping petunias.
The shorter growing season in OR-WA makes the plants get huge. These are hanging outside Norma's in Seaside, OR. The casual restaurant has some awards.

I had a hard time deciding what seafood to eat! I had the combination just because I have a hard time choosing. I don't like oysters, but ate them anyway. At McGrath's in Vancouver, WA I had garlic butter sauteed salmon (Yum) one night and Cajun grilled Pacific Rockfish (decent) the second time. I found a good selection at Applebee's of all things, Pepper Crusted Sirloin & Whole Grains, under the Have It All selection.

Re: porch flowers
Jimmy, If I could have even half as vibrant a basket of petunias that you have I would be ecstatic! The basket they used was about 14" wide and about a foot deep. Plus the latitude and climate made the flowers prolific.
Re: porch flowers
I must admit, my wife tends those flowers, I only supply the growing medium. she's not quite the 100& MM rthat I am, however she is coming close each season.. By the way this season she has decided to go with all Mounding Petunias next year, they grew beautifully.sanderson wrote:Jimmy, If I could have even half as vibrant a basket of petunias that you have I would be ecstatic!
