Oh wow that's very creative of your compost. Keep working at it. When it spits out fifties and hundreds give me the formula.

I'd be happy with it spitting out a few extra boxes!

I spit out a new 4x4 box last night...with little help from the compost pile. I'll be building one more 4x4 today...going really lightweight as I found 4' cedar fence pickets at Home Depot yesterday for $.98 each. I'll post a pic when finished.

That's a pretty old penny that may be worth a pretty penny! Check it out.
That's true! My son collects a little here and there, and he said some of the old wheat pennies can be worth a LOT!!
Can you show a pic of the front??

There's a 1945 D wheat penny on sale on EBay for $156.00, although it appears to be in better condition.

How wide are the fence pickets? 2" 4" 6"? I'm betting 4".
Re: Fun Findings

Re: Fun Findings
I think they were 4" wide by 6' length...less than an inch thick...stacked two high for 8" ht...approx. $8 in cedar.
Sometimes the best deal is to buy what's on sale and work with the lengths, widths, and thickness. One year it was a better deal to buy 1x8x8 cedar boards and end up with a really nice box...other years it's been different lengths and widths of cedar fence pickets.
These end up being really light weight...unlike the 2x12 boxes I built when I first started.
