Hello from Kentucky
Hi all,
Glad to be here. I picked up the ANSFG Book about a month ago and devoured it. My wife and I are really looking forward to starting our own SFG here shortly, though we consider ourselves gardening rookies.
I've browsed the forums a bit but felt I could benefit from joining and looking for guidance on specifics.

Welcome!
Welcome - the weather should be getting nice by you soon, lots of advice on all sorts of things in the forum and, of course, ANSFG is what the whole thing is based on! Best of luck in your endeavor this year!

So how are things in Northern Ky.? I was born in Covington Ky. Lived around Dry Ridge, & Crittenden till about 1987. This is my first year giving the SQF gardening a try also. Good luck to you and your wife on you new adventure.

Re: Hello from Kentucky
Vash and Wife, Welcome to the Forum! You have already devoured the book and that's the most important first step. Stay active on the Forum, you will learn so much. Use the Search box for topics. Take photos to share and keep a journal of your adventure.
Start collecting the wood for the boxes and 5 kinds of compost, one of which should be a composted herbivore manure, the vermiculite and compressed peat moss which you will have to re-fluff.
I started building my boxes a year+ ago. I think what I have learned here, has done more to advance my knowledge than if I tried to go it alone with just the book. We are here to help you succeed at SFG!
