Re: To Grow or Not to Grow(Peppers), that is the question
sanderson wrote:I have a question. How many years can a potted pepper keep producing? I was able to over-winter several in the green house but the lost all their leaves. Then around Feb-March, little green shouts started! I pruned the tops and they took off and are producing this summer. Can I over-winter again, and for how many years?
Thank you
My son managed 2 years before the cold got it this past year. Even the little space heater he had in his season extender greenhouse couldn't keep up. Pepper plants in the Philippines can last 3 or 4 years.

Re: To Grow or Not to Grow(Peppers), that is the question
I remember years ago when I lived up in Edmonton, I had an indoor pepper plant, people grew them as ornamentals.
Perhaps we should have a pepper challenge this year and see who can keep one of this years peppers growing the longest

I'll over winter most and see if I can get a 3rd summer of fruiting. There must be others who over wintered 2013-2014.

That sounds interesting ..
Can we have the same song on the song sheets ?
So, some rules please .
In doors or out doors ? Glasshouse etc. or not ? Heat beds and lights or not ?
MM or other stuff as well ? Hydroponics ?
