Wow! Thank you guys.
Thank you so much for such a warm welcome. This is such a friendly place,I know I will enjoy my stay here.
To answer some of the questions I have been asked: I live in a city called Pietermarirzburg which is the capital of Kwa Zulu Natal province here in South Africa.I am on the east coast of South Africa about 50 miles inland from the sea.I am situated approx 30 degrees south of the equator which is on the same latitude as Perth in Australia,I guess that is pretty far south.
The weather is great here in sunny South Africa and I would say that the growing season is about 10 months in some places 12.I have not seen frost in decades and we never see snow except in mountain passes.
@Sanderson : yes I do own the All New SFG book, thanks for asking.
Thanks and have a great day.

Ok, I'm looking at Google Maps...hum, push left or right? I know I should go east but I'll go west...middle east, go south, south, ahh, you must live in a petty big city as the name is printed in large letters. I did a quick search of your city...and...am...starting to feel pretty jealous! I imagine the quality of life to be pretty high in your city. The pictures are beautiful and the weather looks very moderate all year. Beautiful buildings, out door activities, Lion Park. Wow! What a beautiful city you live in. I can't imagine you'll have any problems growing plants in your garden.

Sanjay, I was looking up non-related information and found that you have a Southern Hemisphere "Mediterranean" climate. California also has a Med climate. You will be able to grow almost anything your heart desires! ![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)
