worms in compost
About 6 weeks ago I mixed twelve 5 gallon buckets of fresh cow manure in with last years pile of material I was trying to make compost with.
It seems to be doing nicely, however where have all of these small red worms come from ?
I'm surely not complaining, just curious, there were none in the pile when I first put it together 6-8 weeks ago..

Is that where the quote came from GWN ... Gardeners !
My veg & flower beds are full of earth worms , the compost bins are alive with muck worms eating like there was no tomorrow .
I was wondering how well they keep for meat when blanched & frozen .... they've gotta be cheaper than prime steak.

Several times I have found corn cobs in my compost pile teeming with baby worms. So I put the cobs in my tabletops. That's the lazy man's method of worm farming!
